Roku outdoor battery camera disconnects from the internet and cannot access live feed.

I have trusted Roku and have had a great experience with many devices. That changed recently when I made the mistake of just trusting the name Roku and not looking at all the issues the home security devices have.

I bought the outdoor battery camera with a spotlight, and it hasn't worked properly since I unboxed it.

1st, it kept dropping the internet connection

2nd was never able to view the live feed at all, though videos and pictures would show up in my albums

After being on chat with 6 different agents and repeating all the same steps over and over (of course it's charged, yes internet works), the question was, " Ugh, only to give the model, MAC/Device ID, and then everything stopped working. No LED light, can't turn it on, not connecting to the charger. It just stopped working completely, even though it really wasn't working in the 1st place, but suddenly it's totally dead.. What in the world?

I know I'll get the same AI response, but I just want to voice my frustration. Support really did nothing to help, except my camera completely crashed after the device information was given in the hopes of getting the issue resolved.

I'm not doing a replacement as I see so many people have done so, and cameras still don't work.

I love my Roku TV and other devices, but I'm not sure they can do security equipment/devices yet. Sadly, I'll have to change brands on that.

    Hi true_dreamer,

    Greetings from the Roku Community!

We understand you're having a problem with the Roku outdoor battery camera. We're happy to help.

Please try to restart the camera by opening the weatherproof cover on the back, sliding the power switch off, waiting a moment, and switching it back on. This procedure does not disconnect your camera from Wi-Fi or remove it from your Roku account.

Keep us in the loop on how it goes.
