However, you have the option to elect the Camera Carousel item to the bottom by following the steps below:

    1. Select the Carousel item
    2. Press the star * button on your Roku remote
    3. Choose Reorder Camera list
    4. Move the Carousel to the bottom by pressing the arrow down button of your Roku remote

  • lol They marked a solution to this, which has nothing to do with what you asked. Typical from ROKU support. The carousel feature cannot be disabled. It has ruined what was already a bad streaming feature since they did all the updates over the summer. Now the cameras disconnect, freeze, lag, and miss more notifications then ever before since adding the carousel. ROKU would be advised to FIX their glitchy streaming software & firmware before adding new features that make things worse. These cameras and the whole smart home platform is nothing but a gimmick and a money grab. They are not effective at what they are advertised for, security.

Good luck. We have all been waiting for them to fix the problems they create with the cameras and service for a very long time. The tv streaming service is absolutely ruined now. If you watch your time stamps, they freeze after a few seconds and become still images, not live streams.

    Hi yves211,

    Welcome to the Roku Community!

Thank you for inquiring about the new feature of the Roku Camera app, "Camera Carousel." We would be more than willing to provide you with further details.

Camera Carousel feature will allow you to cycle through live feeds from Roku Smart Home cameras and video doorbells on your TV. Feeds switch based on motion/sound detection or a timed rotation, enabling seamless monitoring of multiple cameras.

    What this means for you:

    • You can monitor multiple camera feeds effortlessly using the Roku Cameras app.
    • Feeds rotate every 15-45 seconds (user-defined) or switch automatically when motion or sound is detected.
    • You can customize rotation settings, such as switching based on activity, time, or both.
    • Full-screen viewing, reviewing events, and manual switching between feeds are supported.
    • Battery-powered cameras with low battery levels or offline cameras are excluded from the timed rotation.

We hope you find this information helpful. Please let us know if there's anything else we can assist you with.

    Cheers,
    Riamie

What you are suggesting does not work. Can the carousel option be opted out. It makes the operation of the cameras horrible.

Tokerie no, it can't be disabled or turned off. Its broken the tv streaming feature of the cameras.

My cameras were finally doing fine until you added this feature..It may not be so aggravating if their was a option to turn the carousel OFF..

Also a better option imo would have been to give us the option of a split screen view rather than a carousel..I would rather have the option to be able to view both my cameras on one screen rather than carousel.. SPLIT SCREEN VIEWING option would be better..but also still have the option of going to one camera or the other please and thank you

The answers you posted are not solutions to the question that was asked. Yet, they are marked as solutions...

There is no way to turn Off the carousel, and the carousel feature has broken the tv streaming feature. All cameras only show a few seconds of a blurry live stream before they freeze and become a still image.

They are still streaming on the app without freezing for now, but the tv stream is useless now.
