Just bought 360 se indoor camera. When i try to send audio thru it it can only barely be heard. Very lightly a couple of inches away. Cant find a volume control.

  I'm having the same issue many other people are having. the audio on the actual camera is almost non existent. is there a way to adjust the volume on this?

I bought the roku indoor camera and when I press the mic button to speak i can only hear my voice if you're an inch away and the siren cannot be heard. You can barley hear even if im yelling into the phone but you can hear someone talking by the camera on my phone. I looked at the topics and found one but the answer was a roku employee saying they pm the user with the topic

Add me to the list. Just purchased and setup two cameras to monitor my wife who suffers with Parkinsons.
With permissions set for the Microphone, there is no audio in or out!
Please, solve the problem! It appears from this thread that this has been an ongoing issue for too long, meanwhile Roku continues to sell the defective units.

I am curious to find out if anyone else has noticed an audio issue with the Roku indoor cameras. I thought the camera was built with just a poor audio component, but the more I investigated, the more I feel that maybe an audio compression limiter is being implemented on these cameras, to put a hard limit on the volume of devices, that is well below the device capabilities.

The problem was first noticed when I installed the cameras in my home. In testing, I found the video quality (in both ambiant lighting and night vision) and field of view to be outstanding, but the ambiant audio and two-way tall feature to be almost non-functional. I chalked it up to cost-efficoency when trying to produce a low cost product. I had been testing via the app on my android phone, and used both the phone speaker and Bluetooth earbuds for my analysis.

Today however, I noticed something strange. I checked a camera with my ear buds in use, and then switched back to a social media application that has audio, and found that this application was stuck at the same low volume as the cameras, even at max volume. I had to disconnect my Bluetooth and reconnect it to get normal volume again.

Is anyone else noticing this issue? Was it intentional, or is this just a bug with the audio codec? Lastly, if anyone else has experienced this, has anyone else found a fix for it? I love the video aspects of these cameras, and the price point, but the lack of audio is making me reconsider my purchase in favor of more expensive cameras. Any advice or feedback would be appreciated.

I know this post is older, but it keeps coming up in my search and maybe someone else will see this and think twice about buying one. I'm my case, I bought 2...
The night vision doesn't always turn on, even if it's dark. And I tried the smart dection out, and I put it to detect a person while I was at work, and instead I got a bunch of snaps of my cats walking navy and forth....
Has anyone actually heard back from them? I'm having the same issue and have tried contacting them and got nothing. I also can't find anything online about resolving it. So I guess they just want bad reviews if they won't help their customers....

  Hello, this post is old but is current. I'm surprised that people are writing they have not heard back from them. I hear back every single time I post anything on this site.
  I posted up above how to go through a complete reset that was offered by the company to correct the problems.

  I've been chatting with support. They had me try power cycling the device (turning off and on) and factory resetting it and it's still not working. I have a Samsung galaxy, my husband has a Google Pixel. Mine is quiet but I can actually hear him. All my permissions are enabled.

    I am also having this issue. I had a 360 that worked perfect. The sound was great both ways. It fell and broke so I bought another one and I literally have to yell into my phone and they have to come in front of the camera for my kids to even hear me. I have to sound the siren to even get their attention. I can’t wait for some support to reach out to me. My kids need to be able to communicate. What number do I call to speak to someone to get a replacement that works correctly?
