Received lots of notifications on indoor cameras on the smart home app

No matter what setting, or what rule i set i will get notifications every second. Ive tried setting a timeframe to capture. It ignores it. Days of the week. Ignores it. I cant not stand getting 500 notifications a day. Its like this app was designed by morons. No support either, we have to rely on other consumers that have the same problems. What a terrible company. Any one know how to make the “rules” actual work?

    Hey, Shinaku, garrettecook

    Appreciate you posting here!

I understand you are experiencing issues with the notifications in your Roku smart home app. I would like to know more about it.

    • Could you let me know what notifications you receive every second?
    • Is this your first experience with this issue, or has it been a problem since you set up the indoor camera?

In the meantime, you can manage event detection for Roku camera notifications. Open the Roku Smart Home app, tap Home, and select your camera. Tap Settings, then Event Detection. Choose which events to be notified about. You can also follow these steps to adjust detection sensitivity.

Please let me know how it goes!

I was at work when I received your message. I was commenting that "At least you were able to get your app to work," because I was not able to get mine to work at all... Meaning, they're a step ahead.

It's unfortunate to get little to NO HELP with these items. If only amazon could own most things, they treat people pretty well in my opinion. Although I've purchased my Roku Speakers from there and I have had to replace all of them, the process was seamless. Sadly, I did not purchase the cameras from amazon, and the App just does not function. The notifications I get is the "Close App at the end, after repeated flashing like a dying fish. Fortunately, I am not prone to seizures like the App is.

  • At least you were able to get your app to work.

I purchased cameras just to find out that my 2025 cell phone cannot seem to get the app to function. Hasn't happened anywhere else with any other app, and the moronic side of things is that NO Customer Support Person has any clue when it comes to app issues.

    Still, NO reply.

So, are we stuck with this deceptive trickery to purchase products that they are not taking care of?
