Interference Noise in Cameras

When I’m watching live stream on my camera or playback a recording, they all have the same noise playing through them. It kind of sounds like some sort of interference. It’s loud.  No matter which on...

    After reviewing the video, we can confirm that there isn't anything wrong with your Roku Smart Home Camera as it is just the static noise coming from the sensitive microphone that is picking up the ambient sound.

    Troubleshooting:

    1. Make sure the Roku Smart Home app and camera firmware are up to date.
    2. Check the signal strength.
      • If it is below 3 bars, suggest moving the camera closer to the router.
    3. Power cycle the camera.
    4. Factory reset and set it up as a new device.
    5. If the problem continues restart your router and check the signal strength. If it is below 3 bars, suggest moving the camera closer to the router.

    We'll be more than happy to help you today with your issue with the distorted sound of the Roku camera.

    Let's see if this will work for you.

    • Make sure the Roku Smart Home app and camera firmware are up to date.
    • Check the signal strength: If it is below 3 bars, we suggest moving the camera closer to the router.
    1. Settings
    2. Device Info
    3. Signal Strength
    • Power cycle the camera.
    1. Unplug the USB cable from the back of your camera
    2. Wait 10 seconds
    3. Plug the USB cable back into the power input port on your camera
    1. Unplug the modem from the power source for 10 seconds.
    2. Wait for 10 seconds
    3. Plug it back and wait until it loads completely before you connect your internet to the internet.
