Indoor SE camera will not update firmware

I've read through all of the roku support answers and I still cannot get either of my indoor cameras to connect. I've restarted the wifi, the devices, un-installed the apps, checked my upload speed and I'm over 500 MBPS. Why is this still an issue?? Any answers other than what I've tried thus far?

  • Hi Mxrowley,

Thanks for bringing to our attention that you are having trouble updating the firmware of your Roku Smart Home camera. We would be more than willing to assist you.

Let's see if this will work for you. Kindly follow the troubleshooting steps below:

    Check your internet connection:
A weak or low-quality internet connection can cause issues downloading and installing a firmware update. Try restarting your router by following these steps:

    1. Unplug the router from the power source.
    2. Wait for 10 seconds.
    3. Plug it back and wait until it completely loads before you connect the Roku Camera back to the internet.

Check the smart home app for updates:
Make sure the app is running the latest version by visiting the appropriate app store.

    • iOS: Open the App Store® on your iOS device and search for "Roku Smart Home mobile app", or visit the online App Store and download the latest version.
    • Android: Open the Google Play™ store on your Android device and search for "Roku Smart Home mobile app", or visit the online Google Play store and download the latest version.

    Set up your device again:
You do not need to remove your smart home device from the mobile app to set it up again. Simply follow the steps below and see if that resolves your issue.

    1. Open the Home screen
    2. Tap the plus sign from the navigation bar
    3. Select Add device
    4. Select your device category and then select a device
    5. Follow the on-screen instructions
