Can someone confirm if Smart Home monitoring is required or not?
I'm sure most on this board already know that the Roku system is basically the Wyze security system that is re-branded. I recently purchased the Wyze system thinking I could use it without a required monthly fee for home monitoring. To my surprise it was NOT allowed.
Upon researching I read that the Roku Smart Home system did allow the system to function without requiring monthly home monitoring. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not? Is the system fully functional without home monitoring?

Marenick, sorry, I misread your post and thought only of the cameras. I don't have experience with the "Home Monitoring" products, but according to the support link you get "push notifications" with or without a subscription as well as the ability to arm/disarm and to view past events for 14 days. That would probably be enough for me, but others might like the additional benefits of the subscription.
