camera's not working after update. Anyone having the same issue?

Anyone having issue's with the outdoor wired camera's? we just did the 3.0.2.4679 update now it will not record events and will not let you click on what to record either motion or person. This update basically made my camera's useless, i can look at it live but doesn't record anything.

    Hi beck5,

Warm greetings from the Roku Community!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and we'd love to see more of what's going on here.

We would recommend reinstalling the app and then trying again to see if you're still seeing the same issue.

If the issue persists, try to perform a system restart on your device to see if there are any differences after doing that.

Please keep us posted on what you find out.

    Best regards,

    Rey

Reinstalling the App?  What about all the groups and rules?  Do we have to setup everything again and again and again?  This all started with a firmware update that Roku botched.

  • Getting issues as well in all the cameras after the new update. it won't send alerts for pets at all now, and is missing tons of recordings. the wired doorbell still won't stream on any tvs either but does still send alerts for pets.

      Hi reptem1970,

Thanks for posting here in the Roku Community!

We're glad to assist you with your problem with your Roku camera. We'd like to know more about the issue that you ran into. Are you currently subscribed to the Roku Smart Home app? Please be advised that recordings can only be kept on the cloud for 14 days. Please try the steps below:

      1. Ensure that the Roku Smart Home app and camera firmware are up to date.
      2. Ensure that detects motion and detects sound are turned on in the Events Recording setting.
      3. Check if there are no event recording schedules.
      4. Turn the detection sensitivity to 100.
      5. Check to see if there are any scheduled Rules that might affect when Event Recordings take place.
      6. Restart the modem and router, and ensure that the camera is connected to the network and receiving enough connection.
      7. Restart Camera.
      8. Restart the Roku Smart Home App.

Let us know if this works.
      All the best,
      Kash

All the settings are correct, for the app and the roku streaming devices. Since the new firmware update, all of the cameras, indoor and outdoor, which all have the new firmware version 3.0.2. 4679, have stopped recording and sending notifications for PET events only. All other events appear to be working correctly. * have a valid smart home subscription and they were working before the update. Power cycles and restarts have not fixed the issue.
