TTS bug in Rowlist component?

Implementing TTS, seem to be seeing a bug with rowlist component, vertical navigation does not interrupt ongoing speech.  Navigating up and down a rowlist without moving horizontally will result in the full speech for every item, every time it was passed.  Any horizontal press will immediately interrupt (as it should) but vertical presses are not interrupting.  
Anyone else experiencing this?
