- AnonymousVisitorLive? VOD? for personal use or commercial?
- IRoadVisitorLive streaming, commercial, in SD format H264.
Thank you
F - AnonymousVisitorI know a number of people had has success with Inlet encoders, that may be a good place to start.
- IRoadVisitorHI,
Inlet for commercial, for personal use what do you suggest?
Thank you
F - bkgoodmanVisitorI have been using FFMPEG, to generate HLS streaming content directly as specified right out of the Roku encoding guide. I have been having incredible problems and can't get any reliable video at all. (All these videos play on Boxee and iOS).
In short - I think Roku devices are very very picky about the video encoding - enough so that I haven't been able to effectively work with them. - SolveLLCVisitor

VLC most works for HLS on the Roku. We did some pretty extensive testing with it, however, it proved to be unstable enough that a commercial encoder was worth the cost. - uarliveVisitorWe use adobe media encoder. works great.

Hi uarlive,
Do you have some suggestions for good settings for hd 720 and 1080p, sd 4:3 and 16:9 for the adobe encoder?
-Joel - IRoadVisitorHi,
First all thank you everyone.
I have a question about media encoder, did you use just media encoder or do you need the adobe media encoder to stream on Roku.
Thank you.
Now I am using the Vlc works fine but it is not perfect.
F - uarliveVisitori used just media encoder.
