Send text to roku -- app independent

Is it possible to send text to a Roku which gets always displayed on the screen?

I'm not talking about developing this feature in an app. I want to have a text popup with the phone number of incoming calls on the screen nevertheless which app is running.

I only found the External Control Guide which does not provide that information.

    Sorry, there's no facility for global alerts or notifications like that.

    Are there any plans for it? Or at least having an standardized option for it (but requiring the app to allow it (opt-in))?

    You can launch a channel (that you wrote) with the caller-ID as a parameter to display - but after that it won't be able to return back to what it was doing before. There is no facility for "nesting" channel invocations
