roScreen scaling

Need some clarification on how roScreen scales from HD to SD. I'm assuming that it's doing what most TV networks do, which is a "center cut". Basically, they scale the HD image proportionally down to 864x480, then slice off the sides to get to a SD aspect ratio (720x480). Thanks for any info

  • That's not what I see though - it's always scaled down and squished in, so nothing is cut off, but everything is now squished so circles are now tall ovals, squares are tall rectangles, etc.
  • Thanks. I was hoping for a different answer. Don't want to have 2 sets of graphics
