- gonzotekVisitorJust a heads up, Roku has trademarked their name, and so you may want to consider an alternative name for your site. Another developer was recently in a similar situation: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=38291&start=45#p261983
- learnerChannel Surferif we create a domain with trade mark i dont think it will create probs,, In that case all sites with windows or win should be closed down and if we have a support /fan site for some product ,we will use the same name. We are not decieving consumers. In case You tube is registered then rokutube is also a problem right... Just asking... Not arguing
- stratcat96Visitorthe word "tube" is not protected, as many sites use that suffix in their domain. "You" is the same way. Put them together though and you have a problem. Problem with using "Roku" in a domain name is that users *might* be mislead into thinking it's officially sanctioned, and that is a consideration for Roku.
- jseigle85VisitorWe are working on the partnership with ROKU. It is not a TradeMark issue, but cause it is a different company name. It is Roku Tube. If it was just Roku and we was offering the service then that would be Trademark problems, however because it is to different names there is not problem.
- RyanMarquisteVisitorI'd be interested in helping out with this project. I'm not knowledgeable on how to create video presentations though.
