Roku 2 Developer Mode disabled?

I see that you disabled dev mode on all Roku 2's so people would be required to read the new developer agreement to reactivate dev mode. Why doesn't the developer agreement apply to Roku 1 devices, or why wasn't dev mode disabled on Roku 1s too? - and in the future, when you disable dev mode on a device, it'd probably be a good idea to delete the developer mode app in the menu so users like me don't troubleshoot our networks for hours trying to figure out why we can't connect to the installer page. Or have it toss up a message saying 'dev mode was disabled by roku big brother'
