RALE freezes when ever i add or there is a video component

Im using the latest version of Roku Advanced Layout Editor, but when ever i add a video component even to an empty channel, it the compents freeze and i can edit them at all. Has anyone else experianced this issue and if so where you able to resolve it. I may try an older version of the tool.

Also if i load a channel with a video component they also freeze and i cant edit anything.
