Private channels and testers list

Hi folks!
I'm curious about this: if I want to add testers to a private channel, is there a limit to the number of testers I can add?
And if I remove a tester from that list, does it means he no longer have access to the app right away?

Thanks! 😄

  • Test users are for channels that use our billing system so if you are testing a channel that is not free, you need to set up test users. I don't know what the limit is, if there is one, I'm looking into it.

For channels that don't use our billing system, you need only share the access code. That code will change when the channel is published.

If you remove a test user, then they will probably be required to purchase the channel before they can continue using it.

  • That sounds good, thank you Joel!
I submitted a (paid) channel Thursday last week, it's pending review.
But when active, I would like to 'bundle' it with the comic books subscriptions I sell on my website. I needed a way to add users myself, on top of those that use Roku's regular billing system. When they cancel their subscriptions to my comic books, I also cancel their subscription to my Roku channel.
