Playing A WebCam Help Needed

I'm looking for what type of urls are there for playing a webcam? What specifically doe a url from a webcam look like?  Is it coded with and ip address and then how do you construct the url with an ip address to make it play on roku. It's no m3u8 so what is the extension and how to code it?

    There is no standard. Every manufacturer does it differently, so look up your webcam docs. Check older posts in this forum for discussion. Most often MJPEG is used, which is not Roku supported (bonus: there was never a standard on MJPEG, it's a mess). But almost always JPEG is available too, so can be manually polled.
