LayoutGroup configuration through task?

i have a layoutGroup in epg.xml and i m calling a tasknode to fectch data from server in epg.brs. is it possible to configure layout group in task?
if so how?
layoutGroup.content = tasknode.content ? is not working.
please suggest me one.......
