Is SVOD in Direct Publisher EVER Going To Happen?

Question

Hey there!&nbsp; It's been a long time since Roku introduced Direct Publisher and made vague promises about SVOD as a monetizing option being made available "soon".&nbsp; Well, when is "soon" going to happen? While Roku itself may prefer an ad supported model there are still audiences and channel creators who prefer an ad-free SVOD model. Is there any news, or other thoughts, to share about this?

I wish I knew. I have subscription channels to convert. Starting researching scenegraph in case SVOD for DP never happens.

Here is the official response I received from Roku:

Unfortunately, there are no plans at the moment to enable SVOD for Direct Publisher. If you are looking to add SVOD, your best bet is to create a SDK channel. Please see our list of Roku Development Partners[/url:1zc0j5vm], if you are interested.
