Is app/channel name required? Some channels return nothing

In looking at an the channel list returned by one of my Roku players, I noticed that the "Wealth TV 3D" is not returning an app/channel name when a "query/apps" request is made via the External Control Protocol. The following is returned for the "Wealth TV 3D" channel:

Is it a requirement to return an app/channel name?

To support accessibility, providing an icon alone is not sufficient since non-sighted users can not see the text in the icon.
