Inaccurate serial number per Roku web

Attempting to order my free hdmi extender cable.  We have put in serial number as listed & also every possible way, 0 instead of O, capital letters, lower case, a 5 instead of the obvious S, etc…. Keep getting same message that serial number is incorrect. Was I sold a knock off from Amazon?
