HLS Range Requests on Roku OS 8

Hello,

I've noticed in our CDN access logs that Roku devices are using range requests for HLS Live Streams after update to Roku OS 8.
So it looks that the way how .TS files are requested from server changes.

Does anyone know if it is possible to control this behavior?

    Looks like the answer is no. In this doc, it says: 

    • We require that your web servers support range requests. If they do not, you may run into content that is not playable, or large images that do not display. The data will appear as a corrupted file format to our components, as the first block may be resent by the web server when we expect data at a particular range or offset.
