Developer/Consumer Account Conflict?

I just signed up for a developer account using my email. I have loaded eclipse and the plugin and am ready to go from that standpoint. I still need to download and install the Developer Application Installer. My consumer account is under my wife's email address. Would it matter that the two are different? I assume not as long as I can access the network but I wanted to dbl check before I mess up my device.
