Breadcrumb area

Does anyone know what area of the overhang the breadcrumbs may consume? For both SD and HD (mostly SD)?

I need to know where it is "safe" to include some logo/artwork without fear that a long breadcrumb may overlap with it.

I can't find any mention of where the "breadcrumb safe zone" is.

Help...

  • Can you anyone from Roku provide the leftmost X coordinate where the breadcrumb text might appear on SD and HD screens?

After a specific length is reached, the breadcrumb is truncated. So you could set the breadcrumb text values to a long value, notice when the truncation begins, and take a screenshot on Roku1 to get the exact maximum size. Or wait for someone to do that and post the numbers.
  • My concern is there might be some variablity in where they place the edge, based on if there are spaces or other chars in the breadcrumb, etc.

So your approach is good, but will still be a bit of a guess. I was hoping Roku can just indicate what the safe X coord is.

Seems like it is something that should be in the docs already, but I cannot find any such reference.
  • Can anyone from Roku chime in here with the x coord of where the breadcrumb area might begin?
