- belltownRoku GuruI was wondering the same thing myself. There was a lot of useful information in the old page, e.g. details including the model designations and capabilities of all past and present Rokus, most of which are still in use today to some degree or another.
It seems like there's one Wikipedia contributor who's intent on erasing all that information. Several times the information has been erased, then EnTerr has re-added it, only to have it promptly deleted again.
I'm not sure exactly what the justification has been for deleting the info, whether it's a question of the accuracy or legitimacy of the data or its sources. Perhaps the Roku Company could provide that information in some form acceptable to Wikipedia.
Old versions of the Roku Wikipedia page can still be viewed by navigating through the change history links. - TheEndlessChannel SurferIt's an ongoing debate on the talk page of the article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Roku
- kc8pqlVisitorHere's an alternative, for the chart anyway. It doesn't show the 2015 models, but the older
models are there. https://wikidevi.com/wiki/Roku - KomagRoku GuruHmm, I kinda like the current "compromise" of having the chart be linked to as a separate page, good. 🙂
- ArwenChannel SurferSome of the details for the comparison table were added by me. If I recall
correctly, I added the microSD card column, and possibly some other items.
Basically I wanted a place so others could determine what they needed.
Oh well.
In the case of other Wikipedia additions I've done that have been removed,
those just needed a reference. Whence I supplied it, the editor was fine to
allow me the additions. For that case, pretty straight forward and now a
better article.
