Hi there,
I’ve come across this same issue at our office — we use a Samsung TV with a Roku Soundbar at Harwage.pk, and experienced similar problems where video works fine, but audio doesn’t come through. Just like you, we had Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) enabled, but still no sound initially.
Here’s what helped us:
✅ Use HDMI ARC Port: Make sure your HDMI cable is plugged into the HDMI ARC port on the TV (usually labeled as HDMI ARC or HDMI IN (ARC) — not the HDMI/DVI one). ARC allows two-way audio over HDMI, which is essential for soundbars.
✅ Enable TV Audio Output Settings: Go to your Samsung TV settings → Sound → Sound Output → and select Receiver (HDMI) or Roku Soundbar if it shows up.
✅ Optical Cable (Optional): You only need an optical cable if your TV doesn’t support HDMI ARC or if HDMI ARC isn’t working properly. For most setups, HDMI ARC alone is enough.
At Harwage.pk, where we focus on women’s fashion, especially stylish tunic dress, we faced this same connection issue during video shoots and meetings — so you're not alone! After switching to the ARC port and adjusting sound settings, everything worked smoothly.
Hope this helps you get your setup running properly!
