Roku soundbar emits loud feedback when the TV is off and when it's on

I have two Roku soundbars model 9301x. Set up was super easy and the sound is really good. However, the first night I had the one in my bedroom, it started howling in the middle of the night - so loud my neighbor called to see if  something was wrong. It was louder than the fire alarm in the building and only stopped when I disconnected it. A couple days later the one in the living room did the same thing but the TV was on at the time. I've tried resetting them, but the problem still occurs. I checked for other wireless devices that might be interfering but there was nothing closer than several feet away at the time. Haven't seen anything posted about this particular problem - anyone have any thoughts about how to fix this?

    We'd like to be able to help with the issue you have encountered with the Roku Soundbar. Could you share a bit more info?

    • When did you first notice this issue? 
    • Any recent updates you observed before this happened?

    In the meantime, please provide some details so we can get this over to the right team.

    • Roku device model, serial number, and device ID (found in Settings > System > About)
    • Tracker ID and OS version/build (Home button 5 times, then Back button 5 times)
