Roku keeps losing control of audio through the Marantz AV receiver.
roku 4k ultra + Panasonic Monitor + Marantz Receiver, connected to surround sound speakers.
roku ultra 4k setup went fine
roku connects to marantz using hdmi ARC cable. ( i chose panasonic in setup as device because its optical output connects to Marantz for sound) (should i have chosen Marantz????
roku remote controls Roku, AV Receiver and TV monitor fine,
at random times i will lose control of audio from marantz receiver. (volume and mute will not work. )
i put in new batteries in remote and it still happens.
it either works perfect or i have no audio control (sound is present but i have no control to raiser or lower or mute volume. )
only solution is to power down everything and usually it works again until it doesnt.
help. should i set up again choosing Marantz as soundbar????
Thanks for highlighting this issuetacksixer,
You can connect the Roku directly to the Marantz receiver’s HDMI input. Then, link the receiver’s HDMI OUT (ARC) to the monitor’s HDMI IN (ARC) to allow the Marantz to handle audio and video, reducing handshake issues.
In addition, ensure that HDMI-CEC is enabled on your Roku, Marantz receiver, and Panasonic monitor. This feature allows devices to communicate over HDMI, facilitating volume control and power synchronization.
I hope this helps!
