No audio through Streambar SE when viewing OTA network TV

Prior Steambar would play both Roku content and over the air network TV through the Streambar speakers. New Streambar SE only plays Roku content through its speakers. Is this lack of SE capability or a ploy to force Roku usage? Current work-around is to switch TV audio mode to its internal speakers when watching OTA TV.

    Hi, Brian68.

    Welcome to the Roku Community!

We completely understand that you want to use your Roku Streambar SE as a speaker while watching your OTA channels. We'd like to be of assistance.

Could you let us know what is the brand of your TV? Also, are you using the same setup as with your Roku Streambar and Roku Streambar SE?

Let's get the conversation going. Please get back to us.

    Thanks,
    Emman

The Roku Streambar SE replaced an older Roku Streambar. Both Streambar's were placed on the same Sony XBR-49X800E television. Once the SE is used to stream from Sling, Netflix, etc., the audio is muted when switching back to OTA broadcasts. I've checked both remotes and neither the mute switch or volume settings are the problem. At this point when the TV's audio output setting is checked, it's set to use external speakers (the SE). But the only way to get audio out for OTA television is to manually switch the television's audio setting from external to internal speakers.
