How to set up furniture with immersive sound via Bluetooth on Roku TV?

I just purchased furniture with immersive sound through Bluetooth audio. I was surprised to find that I was unable to hook up to my Roku TV. Is there any way that I can make this hook up? Spent a lot of money to only find out Roku will not support any Roku sound.

  • Hey shikapa2,

    Thanks for posting here!

I understand you want your new recliners to play simultaneously with your Samsung soundbar connected to your Roku TV. However, since your TCL Roku TV doesn't have a Bluetooth feature, you won't be able to establish audio playback with your recliners via Bluetooth connection.

For further assistance, contact the recliner manufacturers.

    I hope this helps,

    Hey spot13

Thanks for raising this issue with us!

To investigate this further, can you please provide some details:

    • Can you please specify the brand of your speakers?
    • What is the serial number of the Roku TV ( Settings > System > About)
    • What is the current software version running on your Roku?

    Looking forward to your response!

    Thanks

Thanks for responding. Here is the information you asked for as best i can find out.

      1) The furniture i am trying to connect with is Comfortech Furniture. It is the Infinity Collection triple power recline with immersive sound. I have got it to hook thru the wireless headphones, and it shows as Moto Media System. By linking as headphones I can only hook to 1 piece of furniture at a time. So only 1 viewer can enjoy the experience at a time. Defeats the purpose of the furniture.

      2) My TV is a 65" Roku Pro series 4K tv. Model 65R8BX

      3) s/n X031000W0Y3G

      4) Software version 14.1

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I love my Roku tv. Have owned many different Roku tv's. Just need it to work with the furniture. Have a couch and 2 recliners.

      Thanks again

Thanks for the additional info spot13.

Just a heads up, Bluetooth audio on the Roku streaming device only connects with headphones, smartphones, and tablets. For more info, refer to this link

Meanwhile, try this workaround: Connect your phone to your Comfortech Furniture and install the Roku mobile app. Once connected, you can use the app as headphones to play sound through your Comfortech Furniture.

        I hope this helps!

  • Hi, I'm not audio inclined whatsoever......I just bought 2 moto motion brand recliners that have built in bluetooth speakers and would like to know how to hook them up to play simutaniously with my samsung sound bar. My tv is a TCL roku and doesn't have a bluetooth out feature. I bought the chairs online and they don't have any instructions except to download their app and play sound from my phone. Can someone tell me what or if I can buy some sort of adapter to put into my tv/soundbar to do this? By the way my phone (samsung s24 ultra) only wants to play the sound into one chair at a time also, ugh!

I hope that Roku will put out an update. Like i had said in my posting I have 2 Motto motion recliners and a couch. I have the newest most expensive Roku tv with Bluetooth connectivity. You can still only connect to Roku speakers so even if you had the Bluetooth you would not be able to connect them. I think that the people at Roku are really missing the boat on this one! How hard can it be to send out a update that allows for the connection? The furniture company is not in competition with Roku. Matter of fact it would only make the viewing of Roku TV better. Right now I connect one of my pieces thru the wireless headphone connection but can only do 1 piece of furniture at a time. No one else can enjoy the true movie theatre sound and the vibrations that are sent to the seat.

I connected the furniture company. If you are able to connect one piece of furniture (in this case, you have to do as headphones) then once connected double tap the pairing button. You should hear it say broadcast mode. Then turn on the other and do the same. it should say broadcast mode and they should connect. You can do this with however many pieces of furniture you have. Still would be nice to connect as speaker to be able to make changes to the sound mode.
