The audio frequently deteriorates when watching TV with our Roku soundbar. Voices are distorted, and there is static. Eventually the sound just stops altogether. The only ways to fix it are to leave the channel and come back to it, or if this doesn’t work, reboot the system completely. We also have issues with the soundbar player just rebooting on its own. This is infuriating.

I have the same issue. For me, once this starts, it begins to happen more frequently. I gave my soundbar to my sister-in-law for her spare room and bought another to solve the issue. I didn't have the problem again for a year or so with the new one, but now it is starting to have that issue as well. Oddly, my sister-in-law still has not experienced this issue with the old one. I have also changed TVs since then, so it isn't the TV. I will usually switch the HDMI port when it becomes frequent, and that helps for a bit, and then it's back to its old tricks. I've also run speed tests to see if it's the internet connection and my download speed ranges from 250-360 Mbps..
