Can’t pair speakers to Roku TV

Hi I have a Roku TV, sound bar and now just purchased wireless speakers. They will not pair. Have unplugged and plugged back in multiple times. It’s connected to the WiFi just fine but will not pair. It sometimes gets to updating speakers but always fails. Any ideas? I am about to take them back.
