Hi curtgibson,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
We will be more than happy to assist you. Roku wireless speakers must be connected to a Roku TV system, Roku Streambar, Roku Streambar Pro, or Roku Smart Soundbar. Wireless speakers cannot be connected directly to a Roku Streambar SE, other TVs, sound systems, or Roku streaming players. You can only use Roku wireless speakers and a Roku TV Wireless Soundbar together if they are paired with a Roku Plus Series TV. Learn more about the different Roku surround sound configurations.
We hope this helps, and please keep us posted if you need anything else.
Best regards, John

I am very angry that this was not defined in the brochure. I am attaching what I cut from the Amazon listing:
Add cinematic sound to your Roku TV or immersive surround sound to your Roku audio system (Requires Roku TV, Roku Streambar or Roku Streambar Pro – sold separately) Only works with Roku TV or Roku Audio
When you say Roku TV I take that to mean a box that is providing a signal to a tv. If you would have said "A Roku TV" Or said "does not work with Roku Ultra, or other Roku streaming devices" then I can see where I would be wrong.
I am shipping these back.
