YouTube shorts play at double speed after initial playing

Ever since the latest system update, all of the Shorts play normally 1 time and then when they repeat the 2nd and any other playbacks are played at double speed, with garbled sound. Moving to another...

Official? Of course not. My response isn’t flippant, simply being practical. Remember, Google sells competing hardware, so they might simply not be too concerned about fixing their app on another platform. They’ll probably get around to it eventually. In the meantime they ensure their apps work fine on their platform and for the Android OS.
