YouTube Search is Barely Working

Has anyone else had a problem with using the search on YouTube from your Roku remote lately?   It takes multiple times when you hit either a letter or number for either to come up on the search title and then just to complete the words for your search takes forever.    Everything is very delayed and becomes extremely frustrating.   I don't know what has happened or changed.   

Any help or input would be appreciated.    Thank you.

    If it doesn't occur when using other channels, then it's something within the YT app and Google will have to address it. You should let Google know of the problem. I seldom use the search function with any of my players, but it's always worked when I tried.
