Youtube Not Connecting despite excellent WiFi strength

Problem has returned to me.  I have done the usual remove youtube app (and youtube TV), reset, re-add and it still says "no connection".  I also did a software update.  Here are two interesting things to consider:

- All other apps on the TV work fine

- Youtube works on all other TVs in my house

So it may be a compatability with Youtube and the spicific TV model: TCL 55R615

  • I am still having this issue for about two weeks

    I have done all the mentioned steps.  Here is what is unique:- All other apps work on my TV

    - Youtube works on all other TVs in my house but my main one.  I did do a software update

    If you are still seeing this issue occur after following the troubleshooting step above, please provide us with the following information:
    -Roku device model: TCL 55R516
    -serial number - YS00KA103811
    -device ID- FV283K103811
    -software OS/version - 12.0.0 build 4182-30
    -does this issue occur on a specific channel? if so, what channel and what version/build is the channel - Youtube 2.20 build 110005156 
    -tracker ID when this issue occurs - 11-268-972
    -steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing - attempting to open youtube
