Issue with Xfinity Remote for the Xfinity Stream App
If you're using an Xfinity remote with a TV that does not have a cable box (an extra TV using the Xfinity Stream App), you may experience occasional issues with the app. The remote for these TVs is different from the one that controls the main TV with the Xfinity box.
To troubleshoot:
- Using the remote, go to the Xfinity Stream App and highlight it—do not open it or press OK.
- With the app highlighted, press the Star (*) button on the remote.
A drop-down menu will appear. - Scroll down to “Reset App” and press OK.
- Wait for the app to reset and then try using it again.
If that doesn't resolve the issue:
- Repeat the steps above to bring up the drop-down menu.
- This time, select “Log Out”, and then log back in once prompted.
These steps have consistently fixed any issues I've encountered.
