Why is there still no 24.0 FPS Support on a Roku Ultra?
I unplugged my 2022 Roku Ultra about 6 months ago because it doesn't have 24.0FPS support. I've been using the built in WebOS apps on my LG C1 OLED.
Plugged in my Roku Ultra again today, reset it to factory defaults just to make sure, and decided to see if Roku ever added 24.0FPS support to their devices. Guess what? Nope, they sure haven't. Still no support for it.
Any 24.0FPS content (Andor, Ashoka, Rings of Power, She-Hulk, god knows what else) is still a stuttery mess on the Roku Ultra. Oh well, time to unplug the thing again I guess.
I gotta tell you, once you get used to ignoring all the ads and junk on WebOS, the thing is solid. Yeah, it doesn't do TrueHD or DTS-HD-MA, but no Smart TV OS does.
Yes, the free built in WebOS SmartTV features that come bundled with your TV are superior to my Roku Ultra.
Why?
