Weather 4 Us Not Working?

I went to my Weather4us app today on my Roku player and it just doesn't work. It only gives me an option to delete the cities that I use to check the weather. It won't allow me to delete the app and reinstall it. What am I supposed to do?

  • The Weather Channel worked fine yesterday. Today I get a message I have never seen: Failed to load app data.

System is up to date, channel app is up to date, Internet connection is good, subscription is current, no option to uninstall and then reinstall the channel that I can see. What am I missing?

I was watching TWC fine until about 30 minutes ago and the app froze, now I’m getting that exact same error (Failed to load app data, with the crying cloud) on both of my Roku TVs… Hopefully we get an answer on this soon.

I had the same problem earlier today - had email exchange with Ruby Sharma <support@weathergroup.freshdesk.com>.  When I returned home - everything worked fine.  They had my email and phone number - perhaps that was enough.

It was working for me until a couple of hours ago. I got the same errors you encountered. I "updated" the ap - but it said it was current. I deleted it from my Roku player and re-installed it again and am still encountering the same problem. It says there was a problem the last time loading data from my preferred city, would I like to retry or delete that city. I did both. Now it's doing the same for another city I had saved.

Same thing this morning June 21, 2024; won't open and says:

"It appears that when you last visited there was a problem displaying data for Glens Falls, NY. Would you like us to try again, or delete this location?

(If you continue having problems please contact us at support@weather4us.com)"

Here I am looking for help....

        • Go to settings and update the software.  There is a weather4us software update.  This fixed it for me.
  • As of this afternoon June 22nd, 2024 Weather4Us screen saver is still not working. It does work when directly selected and will run in screen saver mode for a short time and then ends. I have powered cycled my Roku 4K TV and have checked that I am running the latest version 4.1 Build 4. I have one add-free subscription and a 2nd Add-Free subscription.

I should add that I have 500Mbps fiber Internet service and both of my Roku 4K TV's are connected to my home network via 100mbps Ethernet.
