VGKTV channel won't play a show or movie

I'm using the VGKTV channel for the 1st time. It appears that a movie or show downloads, the wheel goes up to 100%. Then the screen goes back to Play Now. And never any further. I have an insignia TV with roku express connected through the HDMI cable using windstream Internet.

    Have you tried the troubleshooting steps provided above in this thread by RokuMary-F? If not, we recommend giving those a shot.

    If the issue persists after the troubleshooting steps, we recommend contacting VGKTV directly and letting them know about the issue you've encountered with their channel.

    May we know what troubleshooting procedures you have done to resolve the issue you've been having? Does it have any error messages prompted on your screen? If so, kindly let us know. Furthermore, try to remove the channel by navigating to the channel tile on the Roku home screen, pressing the star* button on your remote, and choosing "Remove channel." After doing so, try restarting your device from Settings > System > Power > System Restart. After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku channel store and add the channel again.

    We sincerely apologize for any trouble this may have caused you and highly appreciate you for performing the troubleshooting procedure provided. 

    Since this is an isolated case within the VGK IPTV itself, we highly recommend reaching out to their customer Support for further advice. Please be aware that the channel providers themselves create, maintain, and update most apps or channels on the Roku platform, including the VGK IPTV. 

    Aside from this, let us know how we can be of assistance with or create a new thread for different concerns.

    A movie or content that won't load or play is an indicator that the channel provider can directly address since most channels on the Roku platform are handled and managed by the channel providers themselves. It's best to reach out to their support for this issue to be addressed directly.

    Thanks for your first post in the Roku Community!

    We appreciate you informing us that you've been having this trouble with playing content on the VGK TV channel.

    We recommend starting performing the below steps and see if you can resolve the issue:

    1. Remove the channel from the Roku device
    2. Power cycle the Roku device, by disconnecting it from the power cable and reconnecting the device back to the power
    3. Re-add the channel back to the Roku device

    One additional suggestion we would like for you to try by performing a system update. You can check for a manual system update by navigating to Home > Settings > System > System update > Check now. and see if you notice any difference.

      I have the same issue with watching Prey, the meter goes to 13% and stops loading.

        Same here while I'm trying to watch Prey it only loads 13%. This problem has been ongoing for MONTHS.

         

        And yes I've tried doing the posted procedure to fix the problem.

      All other apps are playing movies but with VGK TV I can't get anything to play. I followed the steps as shown above but it starts at 13% but never changes. It eventually goes back to the previous screen.

        Many people are complaining but ROKU won't fix the problem. If the channel doesn't work properly it should be removed.

      Moderators, please don't post a reply with suggestions until you've replicated the complaint yourself. If you're not able to load the VGKTV channel yourself, then you know what the problem is. Otherwise your troubleshooting is just cut-and-paste waste of customer time. Thank you.
