I’m having the same problem. I have uninstalled, reinstalled AppleTV, restarted Roku, unplugged Roku, checked for updates for both and still nothing works to login. It used to work until I uninstalled it due to the issue I first reported regarding the video display size. This is very frustrating. I bought the Roku Streaming Stick + about a month ago. Please help!!!
Hi everyone,
Thanks for the post.
Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.
Does this clear up the issue you are seeing? Please keep us posted.
Thanks,
Danny

Hi Danny. Unfortunately not- I’ve tried every permutation of removing, restarting, reinstalling you can think of plus singing on to different Wi-Fi network and trying in guest mode. I’ve updated to the latest 9.4 Roku os but that’s not made a difference. Also spent ages talking to Apple who insist it’s a Roku issue. Can you help? If my Roku device is faulty can you send me another?

Thanks for the update.
If you are unable to resolve the issue, can you please provide us the following information:
-Roku device model
-serial number
-device ID
-software OS/version
(these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
-what channel and what version/build is the channel (this can be found be selecting the channel on the Home screen and pressing the * button)
-tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times)
Thanks,

Hi.
I am having the same issue as many others here - can't sign in to apple TV on Roku, even though I have no problem signing into it via other devices. I have tried many permutations of removing and reinstalling the channel, restarting roku and signing into guest mode - nothing works.
Here are my details:
Device model - 4200X-Roku 3
serial number: 42658G002974
software version: 9.4.0 build 4190-04
The problem is with apple TV, version 5.1, build 148
Tracker Id: 74-459-023
Please assist. Thank you

Same boat here. Spent 2+ hours with Apple support today trying to get this resolved. No matter what we tried, still getting "Verification Failed. There were errors signing in. Wait a moment, then try again."
What troubleshooting has been done? I may be missing a few things, but in no particular order, these are the steps that have been done. Most of them have been done multiple times, and usually a number of them in combination with each other.
- Reset the Roku device
- Uninstalled and reinstalled AppleTV app
- Tried to sign in with mobile device and with TV
- Upgraded iPhone to OS 14.2
- Logged out of and back into Apple account via PC web browser, iPhone settings panel, and I think one or two other places
- Rebooted router and modem
- Verified no updates needed for TV
- Rebooted the Roku device
- Tried using Guest Mode on Roku device
According to the third Apple engineer I spoke with, the issue seems to be the media engine version is missing the Fairplay extension. My media engine is displayed as "1.530.14:0.1.26-" (no quotes); at the end of that string there should be some notation about Fairplay at the end of the version information. Nothing we did would reset the media engine to reflect Fairplay.
My system
- RokuTV: 8116X
- TCL model: 32S327
- Software version: 9.4.0 build 4190-48
I'd appreciate assistance with this issue. If the answer is "it doesn't work," that's fine (sort of); I'd just like to know so I can stop chasing it. If it can be fixed, that would be wonderful.
