UK latest software huge problem

The latest software update has killed all the apps on the Roku stick.
None can now be opened.
Apps cannot be deleted.

These things are just special purpose computers. Like their big brothers sometimes clearing things out by restarting them can correct problems. (For Roku TV users reading this: if you have "Fast TV start" enabled, turning the TV off and back on just puts it into and out of a standby state and does NOT give you a complete restart.)

You'll find the "System restart" option under "Settings > System > Power" for Roku TVs and some Roku streamer models. On models without a Power option, it's under "Settings > System".

If a restart doesn't do it, or if you don't have sufficient control with the remote to navigate the Roku menus, you can also restart by pulling the power plug to the Roku for a few seconds then plugging it back in and waiting for it to restart.

Did a system restart, and it made no difference.
Powered off tv and Roku and made no difference.
it seems to think the Roku is not connected to the internet but check internet shows everything ok.
maybe the Roku stick has failed, but it was immediately after a software update.
I’ll try it on a different tv tomorrow, and after it has been powered off overnight.

Ok, left it powered off overnight and tried on different tv and same issues.
Did a factory reset, reloaded all channels, and most apps now work ok.
Weirdly Disney will not load up.
When I try to delete the app I get an error message “not connected to the internet”.
The Roku is connected and plays other apps fine.

software version loaded 12/20/24 was 14.1.4 build 7709.
