Twitter TV Not found in channel lineup

I can’t figure find Twitter TV in the Roku channel lineup.   Online articles say that it was added to the Roku platform in 2017, and even give directions on how to add the channel.

  • I'm sure many requests and  already working on it but a Twitter TV channel will be a must before Tucker Carlson's 1st show. You will have so many thousands of new streamers.  Thank you!

Yes. We need a Twitter app asap!

Other than the Roku Channel and Media Player, all of the channels/apps are written by 3rd party developers. Roku just provides a platform for them to write for. Complain to Elon about creating a Roku app, but don't count on it. He'd probably find the restrictions developers must work in as woke.

We do need a Twitter app on Roku, for those of us who wish to watch Tucker Carlson and other Twitter TV streams. Please make this available ASAP.

Again, as posted many times: Roku does not write the apps. It's up to Twitter to write an app for Roku and other devices.

  • I saw the Twitter TV article from 2017. It had a notification that it's defunct.

I hope someone writes a new one so Twitter video can be seen. The demand to watch Tucker Carlson on TV is gonna be huge.

      Hello Ajcobb1992

Thanks for reaching out to the Roku Community.

We tried searching for Twitter TV, but it show no results on the Roku Channel and cannot be located in the channel search. We suggest you reach out directly to the channel to let them know you'd like their streams available on the Roku platform.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

Please read the previous replies. This is 100% up to Twitter to write an app. Roku is only a platform for them to write for.

I'm glad I found this Chat feed. I've also been looking at the outdated 2017 posts relating to a Twitter app on Roku. There is definitely a need. In the interim, I'll use my iPad and AirPlay, through Roku, to watch Tucker on my television.

  • I emailed them and asked for them to add the app as well!  they sent me here, for some reason I could not figure out how to post LOL...so here I am.  I hope that they get the hint 🙂  We need that app for obvious reasons.

🙂 Hope someone makes it happen #twitter

  • As far as I know Roku does not allow adult sexual content.  Twitter/ x does.  Maybe someone knows what product can be used.  Roku removed the hidden adult channels.

Roku didn't remove hidden channels. They just removed the ability to add channels by special codes, which was supposed to be for beta testing. It was abused for adult and pirated material. It was replaced by a proper beta test system with limited user counts and test time.

RE: Roku doesn't allow adult content.

That may be their policy, but give me a break.  Half of all streaming platforms is pure smut these days.

It's fn 2023 and Roku thinks its ok to ignore all of these requests? I will never buy another Roku product ever again. My remote issue is still not fixed even though I switched TVs. HOW CAN ANY BIG COMPANY THINK IT'S OK TO OUTSOURCE ITS CUSTOMER SERVICE TO IT'S CONSUMERS WITH A FORUM?

Please read the full thread. Roku does not write apps other than The Roku Channel. It is up to services and developers to write apps.

And what does Twitter have to do with remotes?

Surf If you login to your Roku account and follow a few steps you can speak to an agent.  You decided to post on a forum where users try to help other users so you could make a political point.  If you want help with your remote issue speak to a Roku agent.
