TV episodes Start at 2 -3 minutes in progress, instead of beginning

When following a series thru  our Roku on Netflix, Prime, Hulu, etc, if we go to that series' home page and click "Play Episode 'X' (whichever is next episode from watching last night,) it starts at 2 -3 minutes in progress, instead of at very beginning of episode, causing us to have to press the Fast Rewind button just to rewind it to back the beginning. 

Why and how to fix this?
