TuneIn Radion app not Accepting Google Login

I signed up for TuneIn Radio Premium on my PC web browser using the handy "Google" account button. This works like a champ on both the PC and all my Android devices. However, the TuneIn app for Roku does not offer that Google account option. It asks for email and password. When I submit my actual Google email account information, it says authentication failed. I also tried a Google app password, but no dice. I also tried to use the "Add Device" option on the web browser - which asks for a registration coed. But the TuneIn Roku app does not have a registration code option either.

I have already emailed the TuneIn support but am not holding my breath for a helpful response.

Has anyone else come across this, and if so, how did you resolve it?

Thank you!

When you are using the Google Account Login option, this is just handling the login although the credentials for TuneIn may or may not be the same as for your Google Account.

When you Signed Up for TuneIn, did you actually use your Google Account username and password to sign up. (as opposed to just using the Google Login feature).

Go into your TuneIn account (on PC) and look at your user information.  Here you should find your TuneIn username (email address), and the TuneIn account password. (likely different than your Google password unless you used the same password).

The above is what the TuneIn channel/app on your Roku device is looking for.  They are looking for the actual TuneIn account username and password.
