Tubi crashes after 30 seconds on Roku tv

What Roku isn't telling you is that this crash and others is caused by Roku. Roku wants you to subscribe only to their system/add ONS.

Welcome to the Roku Community, Fedup1962!

Thanks for sharing your input here. We'd like to know more about this so we can help.

In order for us to narrow down the cause of the playback issues you're currently experiencing on the Tubi app, we appreciate you letting us know the following:

    • Are there any error messages prompted? Or whenever you attempt to access this app, it will kick you back to the Home screen?
    • Is this the only app affected by this?

In the meantime, kindly follow the steps provided below to help you troubleshoot this app:

    1. Remove the channel: navigate to your Home screen, move to the right, highlight the app, press Star*, then select Remove channel
    2. Perform a system reboot: navigate to your Home, select Settings > System > Power (skip if unavailable) > System restart
    3. Re-install the channel: navigate to your Home, scroll and select Store, look for the app, then press Add channel

Here's our support article for reference: How to resolve a channel playback issue

Furthermore, please be informed the Tubi app is a free channel with no subscription required.

We'll be looking forward to your update.

    Best regards,
    Carly

Tubi, Pluto, Plex, etc...all apps outside the Roku app freeze up and stop after 30 seconds to 2 minutes...i.t. guy here for last 30+ years...Roku is as evil as Google...

Connect your RokuTV to a mobile hotspot rather than your network.  If all streams properly, the home network configuration or your internet connection (physical) is your likely culprit. (or you have a problem RokuTV).

Try adjusting your wireless channels, the bandwidth/channel widths, or some other DNS on the router if the hotspot gives you better results.

As makaiguy indicated, many of us use the free channels/apps available on the the Roku platform and I am not seeing the issues/implications you are making.

From my experience, I would also recommend using a Roku device over a RokuTV any day though due to the hardware differences.  I retired my RokuTV due to poor, sluggish performance and crashing.   No such issues on the Roku devices. (you can even attach a Roku device to the RokuTV in order to upgrade it).

As a sidenote, it is usually a better idea to ask for suggestions and assistance on a support forum than delve into name calling. taunting, and ill behavior toward one of its knowledgeable veteran members.

Bull feathers.   Just last evening I watched a two part program over about 3 hours on Tubi with no problems.

See the response above from RokuCarly re reloading the channel app.  Do NOT skip the step about restarting your Roku.
