Terrible sound when I turn Roku on

I have a fairly new Roku ultra and it’s been working fine until recently. All the sudden when I turn my TV on which also turns the Roku on I get a terrible staticky type sound. the only way to make it stop is to unplug it and plug it back in which I have started doing before I even turn anything on. This can’t be the permanent fix. The TV is new and the Roku was working fine with it up until about a week ago. Any suggestions would be appreciated

    To fully assess the issue you're running into, would you mind providing us with a few more details?

    • Have you tried switching to another HDMI port (preferably HDCP 2.2, if supported)?
    • Is the static sound happening when accessing a certain channel? If so, kindly specify which channel(s) these are.
    • Have you tried checking the TV sound itself and confirming that the static sound does not come from it?
