This has been going on for over a year now. I’m in for class action if you want. I have 2 tcl’s and it happens on both TV’s. Roku support is useless.

Class action is extreme. I admit it is a true annoyance. Will dump my TCL. Negative reviews are more powerful if issues aren't resolved.

Most recent issue was I tried to turn up the volume when I had started a Netflix episode and the episode froze, then the entire TV crashed, not just the app.
I watch more than a dozen streaming apps on a semi-regular basis. Netflix is the ONLY one that crashes on me. I don't really see how it's a problem with my equipment. Netflix/Roku has a problem.
Rebooting TV/clearing cache can, yes, help temporarily. But it's an annoying workaround we shouldn't have to do.

I’m with you. I’ve tried all of the fixes or lack of fixes and I still have an issue. Maybe Roku can see that there is an obvious issue between these 2 apps and their TCL tv. How about they recreate the issue in the lab and fix this.

I have a Roku TV, a TCL, only two years old. My problem is Nexflix. I can't even use it. It behaves like I"'m on an old dial-up and I have a fast internet speed. While searching for movies, the app will freeze and the TV will need to be restarted. It starts okay, but the more I search around, the more it gets hung up. It's ONLY Netflix. I have removed and reinstalled Netflix, put it back to factory defaults, and rebooted the internet...nothing works. Any ideas?

That's great but for all of us who have the Roku TCL tv's, we still have the issue. Roku support should see why the 4k express aliviates the issue and maybe research why.

Let's go for it!

My TV is not 4K; just 1080. But Netflix still bombs out. I guess I’m luckier than some, though; at least my Prime still works.

Yes my Prime still works which is weird. I’ve never had an issue with Prime just Netflix.

Shutting off the 4K HDR on my TCL also fixed the issue. Its too bad Roku support couldn't figure this out and we did.

I do t think it matters what you watch. The Netflix app crashes no matter what. I thought by disabling the HDR settings on my TCL tv would fix it but it didn’t. The only fix is to reboot the tv. That only lasts for maybe one movie. Can’t understand what the interaction is between Roku and Netflix.
