This is not correct. I haven't been able to watch Newsmax for 3 days now. I watch Newsmax all day usually and this if very annoying. I've tried roku live Channel 150 and that no longer works either. I can still watch OAN live but it is never live. OAN runs days behind the current news. This seriously needs to be fixed.
Then you are having a unique issue if you cannot watch Newsmax on the other LiveTV streaming providers I mentioned above. Have you tried Pluto ch. 236 or Xumo ch. 138.
Regarding your issue with OAN, are you sure you are watching OAN Live either through the subscription OAN Channel/app, KlowdTV, etc. All the free Channels/apps offer OAN Plus, which is previously-recorded content although it is streaming on LiveTV.
Perhaps your issue is device or region related. I can at least tell you that at this point, the Newsmax Channel/app is currently working (kind of-- you have to use left arrow to access live TV as large selection box is still missing), as well as the alternative methods I mentioned above.
If you are still having issue, post back with your Roku model number and if you are seeing any error codes while attempting to stream.

It's not unique as I am having the same issue. Newsmax hasn't worked since Thursday. It works fine on the mobile app, but not on the Roku app.

It’s really annoying especially since my cable company doesn’t or possibly won’t carry Newsmax. Yesterday I had the app on Roku, switched off and when I went back in app didn’t work. Had to watch live. Can’t understand why Newsmax can’t fix the problem.

Why is the LIVE Newsmax box missing when I play the NewsMax channel in Roku? This is happening more frequently. Usually, I can get out and go back in and it's there, but that's not happening. Can Roku please determine the issue and fix it? Thanks bunches!

Same issue

With regards to Newsmax it is not a singular or device issue. It has gone on for over a week for me, it is an application issue.

For those users that are new to Roku, you need to know that Roku only provides the platform/environment for these different Channels/apps.
The actual Channel developer is responsible for making changes/updates/fixes, etc. In this case, it is NewsmaxTV (https://www.newsmaxtv.com/feedback).
I have seen some saying this is a Roku issue because it works on their phone app, their Firestick, etc. These are different platforms/different coding.
I have been a long time Newsmax viewer and this is a chronic problem with the Newsmax Channel/app on the Roku. It will fix itself... I don't even bother to contact Newsmax anymore because it is met with a generic response.
Other than using an alternative method as mentioned above until Newsmax fixes their Channel/app, there is nothing Roku can/will do.
I understand the frustration, but demanding Roku fix a Newsmax issue is not how this works. The Channel developer has to fix the issue.
Hope this clears it up for some.

I contacted them thru their website and provided a link to this forum topic. Maybe if they see how widespread the problem is, and how frustrated people are, that'll light a fire under their butts.

I've been having the same also. In the past it would fix itself after a day or so, not this time. Also hitting "live TV" on the left menu does nothing. Removed and reinstalled the channel but that also didn't fix it. The only other workaround I know of if using the Newsmax app on my phone and casting it via googlecast, but that's a hassle. Roku and/or Newsmax needs to fix this issue as it happens too often, and in this case it's been over a week.

After removing a channel, best practice is to restart your Roku to clear its memory before reinstalling the channel. Did you do this? Without the restart you may not get a clean reinstall.
Depending on your Roku model and Roku version number you'll find the System restart option under either Settings > System > Power or under Settings > System.- zrrifle4 years agoReel Rookie
Yes, restarted after removing it

Yes, restarted it after removing the channel this time and reinstalled, now it works fine. Thank you!
