Spotify Blinks/Pauses On Roku TV & Player

Spotify blinks and goes dark when switching through Spotify options on both ROKU TV and on the ROKU Player with a different TV.  I have updated Roku firmware and deleted and installed Spotify on both the systems and no change.   Spotify is very cumbersome to use on ROKU.  This problem does not occur on IOS or PC devices.  

Any suggestions are welcome.  And many thanks.

    I understand you've got an issue using Spotify on your Roku devices. To get to the bottom of this, could you provide us with the following details:

    • What software version are you currently on? You can check it in Settings > System > About.
    • Is that the only app that is not working?

     

    We can try restarting the system by pressing Home > Settings > System > Power > System restart.
